Internal Security Organization Arrests Muslim Brotherhood Terror Suspect
Internal Security Organization (ISO) operatives over the week arrested a suspected terrorist linked to Muslim Brotherhood terrorist Group from North Africa and Middle East.
The suspect in ISO custody has been identified as Were Sulaiman aka Jarali Sulaiman highly believed to be linked with Muslims brotherhood terror organization.
The Muslim brotherhood was founded Hassan Al-Banna, an Egyptian schoolteacher in 1928 and spreads in countries like Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia among others where it boasts of over 2.5m supporters.
Egyptian court declared the movement as a terror organization following a suicide bombing of a police headquarters in Mansoura, in the Nile Delta, which killed 16 people and wounded more than 100.
According to a source at ISO, the spy agency arrested him after a credible source tipped it about him. Jarali was trailed by the operatives from counter intelligence following days of intercepting his communications and tracking his movements.
He was picked from one of the suburbs of Kampala planning to sneak out of the country
Upon his arrest, Jarali revealed that he hails from Bugiri district in Eastern Uganda.
He also confessed to have received training from Sudan and Libya and has visited most Arab countries.
His intercepted communication indicates that his close associates in Uganda are only Sudanese and Libyans.
Another information obtained also indicates that he has been receiving suspicious funds from some elements in in United States and other European countries for unknown reasons.
"During our investigations, we have established that the same people who have been sending him money are linked to the people Power Movement" A source said.
He added," He is positive and we are still interrogating him, he will tell us more with him".
The source warned the public against being used by the individuals or group to join terror activities to serve their criminal interests
