{UAH} INTERNATIONAL PETITION: WAR CRIMES IN CONGO.
(Picture: A cemetary in Kisangani, Eastern DR Congo for the victims of the infighting between Uganda and Rwanda forces in June 2000. This is only a fraction of the millions who lost their lives in the Congo wars. This suspected war crime took place in June 2000, making it eligible for prosecution by the International Criminal Court in The Hague)
The brutal deaths of a staggering 6 MILLION Africans are now on Yoweri Museveni's hands. A death count equal to the number of Jews heinously murdered by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi's during World War II. A dark history to which the world said "Never Again".
Reknown 2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Dennis Mukwege from the Democratic Republic of Congo has petitioned the UN demanding justice for all the victims of those wars from 1993 to 2003.
Following his stand for international justice, he is now receiving death threats and hate messages from mysterious actors inside and outside Congo, including death threats made directly to members of his family, simply because he wants the perpetrators to answer for their crimes (Public statement by the Panzi Foundation on the death threats:
Dr. Mukwege calls for an end to the blatant impunity of Africa's Holocaust, the biggest bloodbath in the continents modern history after King Leopold II's infamous butchery in the same country during colonialism where over 10 million Africans are estimated to have been mercilessly killed by a remorseless Belgium.
But what happened in Congo between 1993 and 2003 cannot be ignored in this day and age. It was almost ten times worse than the senseless killings of the Rwanda genocide.
Dr. Mukwege simply calls for "the effective implementation of the recommendations resulting from the Mapping project report concerning the most serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law committed in DR Congo between 1993 and 2003." [Read the full Mapping project report here: mapping-report.org]
These are crimes against humanity for which seventeen years later, the instigators are walking Scott free, and yet to be made answerable for their crimes.
The international community is allowing dangerous suspected war criminals to get away with murder.
All Africans and any humane person around the world should add their voice so as to help find justice for the millions of victims who have no voice to speak for themselves. They lost their lives and lay forgotten by humanity, never to be seen again. Plus justice for the countless survivors of this mass murder, plunder and systematic rape, innocent civilians who will be forever traumatized by the surreal, haunting experience that for them, could only have come from the darkest depths of hell.
Help these defenseless people find justice so that the criminals answer for their heinous crimes.
