MALE MABIRIZI'S QUESTS AND ADVENTURES ARE INSIGNIFICANT TO M7's 2021 VICTORY

A few days ago, city lawyer Male Mabirizi launched a quest into the education background of Hon.
Robert Kyagulanyi , the Kyaddondo East legislator. He unearthed several discrepancies including but not limited to the fact that the legislator's true year of birth is not known and that he actually attended "A" level for one year. Mabirizi alleges dishonesty against Kyagulanyi and suggests that he is unsuitable to stand for presidency.
First and foremost, I have never undermined Mabirizi's worth as a lawyer and his thirst for rule of law is unquestionable. Although his quest for rule of law has not been the easiest, its arguable that his failures are largely attributable to political rather than legal reasons. Let's take an example of the age limit petition; somehow the age limit cap was removed but the MPs' extension was denied. Mabirizi will fight this battle and if he wins it, there must be a change of plan for Pres. M7.
Two days ago, another lawyer Csl Muwadda Nkunyingi applied to be availed with Pres. Museveni's academic transcripts. This move was informed by Mabirizi's challenge on Kyagulanyi. In my opinion, it is a futile attempt.

Unless anyone argues that Pres. M7 is politically dysfunctional, the Constitutional qualifications and disqualifications reflect the bare minimum Pres. Museveni had at the commencement of the Constitution. Therefore the debate as to whether Pres. Museveni holds the minimum formal qualifications under the Constitution and the Presidential Elections Act is a passive one and a waste of time. But the opposition feel that one of the ways to counter Mabirizi's quests and adventures is to dig into M7's academic archives, perhaps something could be found. This is a wrong adventure.

The narrative that Mabirizi is a conduit for President Museveni is a false one. A person who doesn't understand Museveni would think this is true. There is nothing farther from the truth than this. In fact, Mabirizi's quests and adventures are so dangerous to Pres. Museveni's victory. Mabirizi is nobody's conduit but he is an ardent believer of rule of law and he will go to any lengths to achieve it.

My humble opinion is that NUP supporters should not be worried about Kyagulanyi appearing on the ballot; certainly he will. Pres. M7 will find a way to make sure that Bobiwine appears on the ballot. In fact, it is in Pres. Museveni's best interests that Kyagulanyi appears on the ballot.

People that have paid keen attention to Pres. M7's politics know that he exercises a pseudo democracy and having Kyagulanyi on the ballot advances Pres. M7's ambitions; it doesn't negatively affect them.
What Pres. M7 will not allow Kyagulanyi to do is to allow him free space to campaign. It is in his best interests that Kyagulanyi doesn't campaign. It is for that reason that Kyagulanyi will be blocked from accessing radio stations outside Kampala. Pres. M7's interests lie in limiting the political space within which the opposition can operate. He very well knows, and rightly so that NUP is so lean on the party structures and as thus, they won't even be able protect votes on any polling stations outside Kampala. For Kampala and Wakiso, Pres. M7 already has a plan on how he will deal with the election. It is at this momentous epoch that I send my greetings to Afande Kale Kayihura and Mr. Kitatta Abdallah.

Back to business, what Mabirizi is doing is that he is distorting the plan. Pres. M7 and his handlers must find a way to stop Mabirizi from obtaining a conviction against Kyagulanyi because should we have an election without a formidable opposition, Pres. Museveni's pseudo democracy will have been exposed to the entire world. Unlike Pres. Kagame of Rwanda who wins with over 95%, Pres. M7 will win with about 60%, allow you to petition the Supreme Court and 4 of the 7 Supreme Court justices will rule in the favour of the one who draws the pay cheque. His democracy will be intact for another 5 years.

Bobiwine isn't playing chess with Pres. M7; Bobiwine is the pawn on the chessboard. Bobiwine must appear on the ballot and lose the election gracefully. This makes more meaning than blocking him from appearing on the ballot. The M7 I know won't go for Mabirizi's bait, like always, he doesn't go for baits; he creates a game, invites you to play, sets the rules and wins it all.
Lastly, this election is going to be too costly for Bobiwine. Let's all agree that the rich men and women of this country are in the pockets of this government. Do you expect Hamis Kiggundu to contribute one billion to their supposed struggle? I think not. 90% of the TV stations and radio stations are owned by state or state leaning investors. Ask yourself who owns and runs NTV, NBS TV, Bukedde TVs, Bukedde Radios, Kfm, Radio West, UBC TV, Urban TV, Record TV, Salt TV, Sanyuka TV, UBC radio, Capital radio among others. That's when you will appreciate that Bobiwine can't handle a scientific election.
