{UAH} Stella Nyanzi, Bobi Wine Turn to Homosexual Community for Campaign Funds

Dr Stella Nyanzi has publicly appealed to prominent Gay people in the US and Europe to mobilize resources for her Kampala Woman MP seat, arguing that she has been promoting homosexuality in Uganda although she has never been rewarded for her work which she describes a tough one, especially in Uganda.

Through her Facebook page, Nyanzi appeals to Elton John and Ellen DeGeneres who are both promoters of homosexuality in their various respects.

Elton John, who announced he was bisexual in 1976 and has been openly gay since 1988, entered into a civil partnership with David Furnish on 21 December 2005; they married after same-sex marriage became legal in England and Wales in 2014.

"My total budget is UGX 1,300,000,000 Uganda Shillings, which is equivalent to USD 340,000$ United States Dollars. If the funds requested for are too much to afford, can you please fundraise for me among other LGBTIQA+ people of means," Stella Nyanzi writes.

Ellen DeGeneres is among those that Stella Nyanzi targets for campaign money. She is a lesbian and prominent promoter of homosexuality

She adds that: "During my public media engagements, my opponents and their supporters are masterminding a political smear-campaign in which they call me "a promoter of homosexuality," "a violator of Kiganda, Ugandan and African traditional values," and "a dangerous example to youths."

She also says that she has never denied being a strong ally of homosexuals in Uganda specifically, but Africa more broadly.
"Indeed, I participated in several local pride marches, variously supported individuals and organisations, and attended diverse processes that challenged the Anti-Homosxuality Bill and Anti-Homosexuality Act in Uganda. However, I have never received any funding support for either my activism or my political campaign from any white gay man or white lesbian person," Nyanzi says.
The Bobi Wine Turnaround
Most Ugandan opposition politicians always look to the international community especially homosexual groups for funding.
One of them is Robert Kyagulanyi who wants to run for the presidency.
Last year, renowned advocates of homosexuality gave an award to the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament at an annual function in Chicago – USA.
Kyagulanyi received the award at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition Annual Conference for reportedly supporting their cause.
Bobi Wine's support for homosexuals can be traced to his political career especially after joining parliament.
It should be remembered that Bobi Wine, before joining politics was a strong critic of homosexuals.
In 2014 for example, Due to criticism of gay people Bobi Wine was denied a UK visa where he was set to perform at two concerts.
Asked about the events that led to him being denied entry into the UK, Bobi Wine said he could not trade his morals for money.
In these photos Bobi Wine is seen hugging and almost kissing famous advocates of homosexuality in America last year
"You cannot buy my morals. I have my rights. I didn't incite violence, I only stood up for my Constitution, my culture and my religion. Where I come from, the way I was raised, we have mummy and daddy, brothers and sisters, I don't know about daddy and daddy and zero," Bobi Wine told Sqoop Magazine, a sister publication of Daily Monitor in an interview.

'This is my opinion and happens to be that of 99% Ugandans/Africans basing on our culture, religion and constitution,' Kyagulanyi said.

"I hope that the proponents of homosexuality who pride themselves in their liberalism and support for human rights, will allow me my right of expression much as they may not be comfortable with my opinion," he added.

Barely two years later, Bobi Wine has been seen hobnobbing with homosexuals and saying he will defend them.

"I believe that one has the responsibility of guarding the rights of all citizens of those who are like you and those that are not like you. I believe that as a leader, a high level of tolerance is required to make sure the nation comes together," Bobi Wine said in response to a question about his views on gays during an interview.

In fact, Bobi Wine praised President Museveni and Parliament for standing up, through the law,  against 'silly' foreign behavior of promoting homosexuality. In the video below, watch Bobi Wine's song that landed him in trouble with the gay community that he is now in bed with. During the same time, Bobi Wine lashed at then US president Barack Obama for promoting gay practices.

It is not clear if Bobi Wine sold his morals for money or he forgot his own words!
