{UAH} THE DEATH OF BREONNA TAYLOR

I am going to start this piece with recognizing the death of this girl that lost her life on March the 13^th of 2020 when she was only 26 years only. A life was sadly lost. As always it is important that we go back into these issues and look carefully at the back ground of what exactly happened.

 

Breonna Taylor had a boy friend that was a drug dealer, not only a drug dealer but an officially known drug dealer. That relationship fell into trouble, and I am not going to remain on it that much for it is not important to me, what I know is that the EX boy friend kept on showing up at her house causing trouble. That is the only detail we have. Breonna Taylor replaced that EX with a new boy friend that owned a licensed weapon. Kentucky is an open carry state. In between there the EX got an issue with the authority and an arrest warrant was issued for him to be picked up. Police showed up at the home at night, identified them selves as officers with a search warrant, and Breonna Taylor with the new boy friend refused to open the door. The door was breached and the officers stormed in. The new boy friend was found inside with his weapon standing in a shooting style, he fired his weapon to the officer that entered and he was injured.

 

That is the only point where common sense ended for the officers dumped everything they had into the unit, and as they say always, by the time the smoke went out Breonna Taylor had taken a bullet that ended her life. 3 separate agencies investigated the shooting and to today no one knows exactly whose bullet took her life but she was pretty packed with projectiles. There is a count of 6, there is a count of 5, and there is a count of 7, I simply do not know how many she decided to take. The investigation about the killer bullet is inconclusive. Was she killed by the officers? We simply do not know. Was she killed by the new boyfriend? We simply do not know. Was police shooting as the boy friend is still shooting? We do not know that either. But we know that in that entire gun fire the boy friend was not shot but Taylor died in the hail of bullets that were fired in the unit.

 

Brett Hankison was arrested yesterday and charged with wantonly firing his weapon. In English he opened his weapon without care, which would have easily caused a death in the neighboring units of the building. All bullets that police officers fired into Taylor’s unit were justified. Brett Hankison was arrested yesterday at 4.30pm, held at a bail of 15,000 dollars which he was able to raise and released at 5.02pm. Breonna’s family got a settlement from the city of 12 million dollars. It is important to note that the Attorney General of Kentucky that investigated this case, is a black man.

 

May Breonna Taylor rest in peace, for the rest of us that do not date drug dealers, are firkin moving on.
