{UAH} KAKENSA THINKS KIBALAMA'S PARTY IS OWNED BY M7

By Kakensa Henry  Media,

On the day NUP was launched, someone came into my inbox and told me; "Kakensa, are you aware that NURP which has just turned NUP was among the political decoy parties government set up to confuse other parties"

A political decoy is a person employed either to impersonate a politician, to draw attention away from the real person or to take risks on that person's behalf. This can also apply to military figures, or civilians impersonated for political or espionage purposes.
When Kibalamu talked about serving Paulo Muwanga, yet Museveni was Muwanga's deputy at the millitary Commission and again went ahead to claim he served Obote's security where still Museveni was a minister of defence, my mind ran back to the statement the guy sent me months back that NURP is a decoy of M7.

NURP was formed in December 2004 ahead of a National referendum to restore multi-party politics which was held on 28 July 2005.

Many opposition in Uganda called for a boycott, dismissing the 2005 referendum as a waste of time and money. They questioned the purpose of the referendum as the Ugandan government and the political parties had all agreed they wanted a return to multi-party politics. Mr Museveni insisted the referendum must take place. This is what promoted him to create some decoy parties like NURP led by Kibalama,Uganda Economic Party led by Watentena James was formed on Dec 15,2004, Social Democratic Party led by Henry Lubowa was formed on 1st April 2005, Republican Women & Youth party led by Stella Nambuya was formed on 20th April 2004, Peoples Progressive Party led by Jaberi Bidandi Ssali was formed April 7th 2004, National Peasants Party led by Segujja Wamala was formed on 20th April 2004, Liberal Democratic Transparency led by Mukasa Zaidi was formed on 15th Feb 2005, National Convention for Democracy led by Degaulle Mukasa was formed on 28th Dec 2004, Forum for Integrity in leadership led by Emmanuel R Tumusiime was formed on 13th April 2004 and many other now moving in briefcases to be on the opposition side to justify his calling for a referendum. Without these opposition parties, the referendum was meaningless. Despite his call, only 30% Ugandan voters turned up for the referendum.

NURP never engaged in any other active political activity after that, not even in LC elections. It only ressurrected when Bobi Wine silently took over it and rebranded it NUP. Having had a hand in its formation, government is now too bitter that their opponent can use their own formed party against them. This is basically why the EC officials who had a hand in its change of names were immediately fired. Ignore the claim that they bought fake fingerprint machines, why were they not charged for it?
They were fired for letting the party go to Bobi Wine without consulting their bosses.
