{UAH} NAMBOOZE WRITES TO BOBI, DEMANDING NUP REFORMS AS BASSAJJA MIVULE BRANDS HER POLITICAL PROSTITUTE

Betty Nambooze says she has written a huge dossier to Bobi Wine pointing out areas that require urgent reform in the way he runs the show at his NUP party. Nambooze made the revelation Tuesday night as she appeared on NBS' Barometer program where she debated with Charles Rwomushana, Godfrey Kiwanda, Allan Sewanyana and Basajja Mivule, a renowned bully who a few days ago decamped from NUP drowning into Gen Museveni's NRM. Seemingly agreeing with Mivule that it wasn't right to tolerate belonging to a political movement whose members are mostly renowned for frequent use of vulgar, crude and abusive language, Nambooze said she had put her concerns in writing and intends to privately deliver the same to Bobi Wine. She said that is the best way to protest the use of abusive language as opposed to defecting to NRM like Mivule has done. "It's a comprehensive document based on research and I have put a lot of time to put down my thoughts for my leader to address," Nambooze said as she declined being pushed by moderator Bulasio Zambali into disclosing some of the contents of her dossier.

 

 

During the same NBS program, Nambooze got her gloves off and went after Mivule live. She dismissed him as mentally disturbed and therefore unfit to debate with an intellectual like herself. "The best those who love him must do now is to urgently get for him a psychiatrist to counsel him because he has a very big problem. He needs urgent rescue," Nambooze repeatedly said of Mivule who was speaking from a top city hotel having resisted coming to the studio claiming his security would be compromised. He claimed there are some people who want his head. Nambooze supported Allan Ssewanyana who said mere being abused can't push a serious activist from the struggle. Sewanyana gave the example of Dr. Kizza Besigye on whose behalf he nearly shed tears as he reflected on the notorious lies Bobi's supporters have been telling against him on social media for the last three years. Sewanyana said Dr. KB is too honorable to deserve the persistent demonization Kyagulanyi's supporters have directed at him since 2017.

"All these things have been untrue and Basajja Mivule has been part of the group deceiving the country how Dr. Besigye is a project of Mr. Museveni which is untrue. How can anyone say such a thing about a honorable man who has sacrificed his entire adult life to making Uganda a better-governed country for more than 35 years? It's something that angered many of us who know Dr. Besigye but he has never left the struggle or complained to anyone simply because they have abused and said all these nasty things against him," said an emotionally-broken Sewanyana as he struggled to hold back tears while reflecting on the social media attacks Bobi's social media warriors have been directing at him since 2017. Nambooze agreed insisting that Basajja Mivule must be added on the list of the Bavumis who have always told deliberate lies to demonize genuine opposition leaders in this country including Dr. KB. She said even herself was a victim because Mivule went to NBS and claimed she was just acting on crying out that soldiers had broken her back during the Togikwatako chaos at Parliament.

Mivule had earlier on said he defected because Bobi's social media warriors abused him of so many things and his kids got humiliated and his other family members too. He also claimed to have used his radio media activism to support the election victory of many opposition MPs (Nambooze inclusive) but when they won positions, they forgot him and never financially shared with him. He also said when he was arrested for tackling tribalism, none of them offered any solidarity. He said to the contrary, Gen Museveni's supporters have showed him love and solidarity unlike colleagues who abandoned him at his hour of need. He subsequently responded to Nambooze for calling him mentally disturbed.

"She has no moral authority to attack me because she has no principles at all. She is just a prostitute moving from one political grouping to another to satisfy her financial desires. She was DP, then People's Government and now NUP. Which sort of person is that? She isn't in this for struggle genuinely but for money and she is a gun for hire. She is there saying why didn't Basajja Mivule start his own party instead of going to NRM if he indeed found NUP wasn't perfect but I ask the same thing to her; you are a whole MP why don't you start a party instead of prostituting from one political group to another?" a fire-spitting Mivule ranted prompting the moderator to intervene. Both Nambooze and Sewanyana argued that PP/NUP was a more tolerable political organization because their immorality stops at just abusing "unlike NRM which has abusers too like Full Figure but also kills and unleashes violence on people besides stealing public funds."

They both maintained that NRM was morally worse making it a wrong party for Mivule to join if he is indeed morally very upright as he claims. Mivule thanked Sewanyana for being respectful justifying the crude language he opted to use against Nambooze. "If you address me with respect, I respect you and the opposite happens if you don't respect me. Who are you Betty Nambooze to call me a mad person?" Rwomushana said Mivule was actually a victim of capture by NRA al Nakba (as he always calls it) and deserves emotional support because he might end up losing his life under the Teddy Ssezi Cheeye-like circumstances or even Mohammed Kirumira. Renowned for his conspiracy theories, Rwomushana said this was something more complicated than Nambooze and Sewanyana were willing to appreciate.
