WE ARE OUR OWN BIGGEST PROBLEM!
Museveni is not a lucky man. He is simply strategic and opportunistic, the Machiavellian way.
He simply invested heavily in our greed, selfishness, individualism, arrogance, tribal and minds as simpletons!
Study about the "myth of the individual merit" which he introduced in 1986 to destroy the sense of family, community and nationhood and replace it with the the one man vision high priest - the cult Museveni to understand what I mean.
M7 knows so well, that most Ugandans are self-interested people who don't fight for the common good or their country. Such ethics is strange to them. We are more preoccupied with showmanship and impressionistic pandering and are never serious people!
Like Nietzsche decried such elitist spirit of contentment: the so called schooled Ugandans are so "utilitarian in thinking" that people simply strive after their own happiness, and the greatest goal in their lives is to be content.
Hence, in our country, utlitarianism is so entrenched that, the social philosophy it engenders is the debased expression of the Ugandan learned-bourgeoisie of being happy, and entirely safe and philistine-- simply that idiotic spirit!
To sound a little more harsh, the way Nietzsche decried the "nfuniramu wa" utilitarian attitude, most Ugandans are equivalent to pigs in a sty-passive, philistine, and ultimately concerned solely with our own families, wealth and contentment.
People like KB, Gen. Muntu, Bobi, may have the true will to power. The will to live beyond a material legal, but they remain hostages themselves to hyenas and wolves lurking around them all the time! And the keeps them apart.
Otherwise, why would KB fail to work with Gen. Muntu? Why would Mao fail DP and is always against KB and now Bobi? Why would FDC members aggressively collect Dr KB from TDA meeting? Why wouldn't they act above self and show the you NUP magnanimity when Besigye and Bobi tried a coalition that had become a non-starter and are now trying to find a suitable candidate that may never be!
Why would NUP members front candidates against Lukwago, Semujju Nganda, or Kabaxiguruka, or against any other stronghold opposition if they genuinely want to remove M7?
There is nothing like Museveni being lucky. Luch is opportunity correctly and strategically exploited well. That is what Museveni does. "asidinka abasitamire" as we Banyoro put it.
Everyone, would rather comment as a spectator, not a citizen... "those in opposition should have... blabla" ..., or "politicians are blabla..." but they don't tell us who they are!
God help Uganda!

This elitist aristocratic virtue or mentality of "life affirming" and "life denying" driven by primitive desire for wealth accumulation has destroyed our country.
It is such a disgusting, rotten and irresponsible, and treacherous mentality in our country!
