{UAH} AMAMA MBABAZI TO BOUNCE BACK AS VP AFTER THE 2021 ELECTIONS

As an advocate of political appointments based on religious balance, I suggest you identify and encourage Muslim brothers and sisters to actively lead political parties, convince Ugandans with a great agenda and they will be voted in as late Seya and Lukwago were voted in as Mayors of Kampala. I see Lukwago with potential to lead a political party one day, and if I am not standing in the same race, I will likely campaign and vote for him.

When I teach students or serve clients, I don't consider their faith for I am a secular officer, not an imam or priest. I only ask for their faith if it involves buying for them meals or organizing visits to certain places because some people don't eat certain foods or visit places like cemeteries, shrines etc otherwise no religion asked. 

I strongly believe that religion should not be a factor in appointments unless there are people who tie in scores or there are many positions to fill, then may be religion can be considered just to remove being accused of sidelining other groups.

It's good to promote our faith groups but let us do it objectively. I respect all religious groups and I accord them same weight but I hesitate to deviate from meritocracy. I will give a qualified Muslim, Christian, Jewish or traditionalist a political position if she/he performs better than the rest.
