{UAH} How can foreign countries like Canada provide free healthcare? ( you'd think Canadian Trumptards would appreciate OBAMACARE)
Canadian here.
It's remarkably simple, really.
We just passed a law mandating that there will be a single health insurance company per province, and that every single resident of the province will be automatically enrolled and covered.
We then fund that insurance with a combination of income tax, payments by employers, and payments by employees. For example, I'm in Ontario, and my employer pays just under $100 per month for my insurance.
Since there is only one insurance company, and every single doctor and hospital takes that insurance, I can go to any doctor or hospital I want, and the doctor will always get paid. It also means there is no need for "copays" or "lifetime caps".
Because of the efficiencies, the total amount spent per capita on health care in Canada is about half of what is spent in the USA. And because healthcare is available equally to all Canadians, we live longer.
None of this is rocket science
