{UAH} What is your unpopular opinion about Donald Trump getting COVID-19?

When I'm struggling with trauma therapy and getting depressed or anxious, I retreat into my favorite fantasy. In this fantasy, all of the Trump era disasters had a single moment trump could have done "the right thing" and forced his pack of sycophants and racists to crumble and erode.

Right now, I sometimes just think (while I'm putting clothes away or mopping) wouldn't it be wonderful if trump came out of Walter Reed and called a press conference and told the press 'there will be no questions today, maybe tomorrow, but I need to address the nation today' and then said, "I was wrong about the virus. I fell for the machinations and deep, abiding immorality of the conservative spin machine. It cost America 209,000 lives and I'm done. Alex Jones and his ilk are criminals and I will treat them as such from this moment forward. If that costs me the election, I'm fine with that. But as long as I am in office, I will fight this wicked machine of cruelty, racism, and deadly misinformation. I disavow white supremacists and want them named as the enemy of the people. I want the proud boys to run and hide like they did before and I care about the American people and what we've just gone through. I can never make amends but I can try to save my country. Disavow and exile every white supremacist you find. I'm sick to death of them and as ashamed as I am of falling for their illiteracy, I think we need to hold them personally responsible for the spread of misinformation. Thank you."

That will never happen. But it's the closest I'll get to voting for the party of Lincoln and my childhood Civil War heroes in my lifetime. So it's fun to think about. That's my unpopular opinion about trump and COVID-19. That maybe, he'll be scared and hurt enough to grow into a fully adult human being. I highly doubt it. I'm also terrified he'll die from this. Already, conservatives are gearing up for another excuse to go on a mass shooting rampage. Infected microphones, secret, middle of the night, deep-state "injections" and secret alien driven aerosol sprays on micro alien ships hovering over trump are already being spread as an excuse to kill children and church goers to "own the libs."

I already know the American right has become the Taliban. I was raised evangelical prepper and my family barely escaped with our lives. And I deployed to Afghanistan and fought the Taliban. The right wing is the Taliban in every way that matters to include "militia" mass shooting events. They want the same fate for gays and women and child brides the Taliban wants and they can't wait for a chance to try to "seize control." They are already making tales of microscopic alien ships and magic wands to have their excuse to cause more bloodshed.

If trump dies, not only will we not be able to gain our allies back and undo Trump's damage, but we also will suffer the horrors of Timothy McVeigh and Dylan Roof on a weekly basis. That idiot trump BETTER survive this. Our nation can't afford his Taliban followers freaking out again. Every one of us should be hoping for his full recovery!
