{UAH} Poison Cited In Lord Mayor Lukwago’s Sickness, Rushed To Nairobi Hospital Where Speaker Kadaga Recovered From…

On Wednesday morning, the Kampala City Lord Mayor Hajji Ssalongo Erias Lukwago was rushed to Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi for further medical attention.

Speaking to CBS radio, Lukwago revealed that Mulago National Referral Hospital medical specialists tried to save his life, and they did their best but he was advised to seek further medical treatment from Aga Khan University hospital.

"I can assure Ugandans and the people of Kampala that I will be fine and our country will be liberated. I thank the medical doctors at Mulago hospital who tried their level best to save my life, they are the ones who advised me to go to Kenya for further medical care," the soft spoken Lukwago said before flying to Nairobi.

One of Lukwago's personal friends, who didn't want his name revealed told theGrapevine that for the last three months, Lukwago has been feeling unwell and he has been receiving medications from Mulago hospital, Nsambya and Lubaga respectively until the situation worsened and he was recommended to go to Nairobi.

He further disclosed that because of this illness, the Lord Mayor has not been in active politics and has not started campaigns to retain his office.

He revealed that as his friends and family, they suspect that Lukwago might have been poisoned and the poison has been slowly eating him up.

While eulogizing the late Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala, the former mayor of Kampala at City Hall, Lukwago revealed that he was not feeling well, by then, many suspected that he had contracted COVID19 but multiple tests proved he was negative.

It should be noted that early this year, Rebecca Kadaga, the speaker of parliament was airlifted on orders of president Yoweri Museveni from Nakasero hospital to the same hospital where Lukwago was taken.

Close friends to Kadaga, especially senior presidential advisor on media Joseph Tamale Mirundi confirmed that Kadaga was poisoned.

Mirundi warned top government officials to be careful because poison is becoming the new weapon that people are using to silently get rid of their opponents.
