AFRICA RISE! Healthier & Stronger 12/05/2020 SAVE THE DATE Since the time that the Coronavirus reached the shores of Africa, our coalition of organizations has held eight webinars, focusing on solutions to limit the tragic impact of the pandemic on the African people. We also conducted a successful project in the Niyabibwe community in DRC with local partners, where we hired women to sew masks, distributed them to thousands of community people, installed handwashing stations in gathering places, and trained the people on healthy sanitation practices and psychosocial coping. Community leaders gratefully reported that we helped the people avoid infection. All this emboldens our commitment to help strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in African countries, particularly in more remote, rural, underserved communities, and has led to our initiative: "Africa Rise Healthier and Stronger!" and our benefit event, "The Big Event: Africa Rise!" to take place on December 5. This is a virtual benefit concert that features popular artists and influencers from around the world, with Master KG and Nomcebo of JERUSALEMA fame amongst the talent.  We are the United African Congress, the Give Them a Hand Foundation, the Earth Rights Institute, the International Association of Applied Psychology, Black Star News and Cool and Cozie Productions. Your contributions will enable the purchase of mobile clinics, building district health centers, and providing medications and technology, to provide communities with access to needed health care.
