You should perhaps think over Mr Museveni's choice of Uganda instead of the USA as home.

 In the former you can do whatever you want but not the latter. He will go nowhere, but even if he wanted to exit, the worry of leaving his dependents in limbo un-fed makes him trudge on. 

And the Annet, Lumumba and the bazukulu cannot afford to see their mzee leave.
