{UAH} 10 REGRETTABLE MUSEVENI MISTAKES THAT ARE BREAKING UGANDA APART AND COSTING HIS LEGACY

10 REGRETTABLE MUSEVENI MISTAKES THAT ARE BREAKING UGANDA APART AND COSTING HIS LEGACY
1. The day he chose to send his only perceived biological son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba into the military services of our country was a miscalculated decision. It was immensely assumed that Uganda will accepted the son and thus preparing him as his successor but little did he know that a wide section of the public especially in the central region never wanted the monarchy he wanted to create which would undermine the 1000 years Buganda kingdom. As such, his idea was fought secretly from within by the majority monarchist who believed in Buganda.
2. The districtnization {curving of districts} of Uganda based on tribe. Before 1986, Ugandans lived harmoniously with each other in wider districts that made up 47 well facilitated areas. Unfortunately, his idea of giving each tribe a district disguising as a way of bring services close to people, and maybe his desire to divide and rule is becoming a heavy cost to him. This instead resurrected the tribal sentiments {ethinic nationalism} where each tribe especially those that are not at the round table of sharing the national cake have chosen collaboration with marginalized majority tribes in a rescue mission.
3. The recognition & incorporation of Rwandan refugees into the 1995 Uganda constitution is regrettably a mistake. It should be remembered that these refugees {now citizens of Uganda} entered our country in 1950 following the Rwandan revolution of 1959 where the Hutu took over leadership in Rwanda. These refugees were housed across Uganda but it did not mean they were Ugandans. That's why the 1962 constitution ignored their presence because everyone one believed they were here for a short while. This recognition & incorporation is partly to be blamed for the many current problems like the escalating land grabbing, Rwanda occupation of every Uganda sector.
4. The appointment of his wife minister of Karamoja & now Minister of education is Uganda over perceived as turning our country into a family property and thus the wide sentiments of "M7 must go"
5. Museveni's deliberate & direct participation into corruption. David Cameroon a former UK premier once stated that if the money stolen from Uganda in the past 30years were stolen from the UK, the united kingdom would cease to exist. This implies Museveni is the chief of the corrupt and money is siphoned daily when hospitals have no drugs, the roads are poor.
6. The deliberate & consistent twisting of the 1995 constitution in favour of M7 as an individual has warranted the need for rewriting a new constitution that is pro-Uganda and not pro-M7. There's an escalating call from the public to reinstate the term limit cap, the age limit cap etc back into our constitution which M7 and his inner circles have deleted.
7. Undermining & marginalization of the majority ethnic groups {the baganda of central Uganda, the acholis & langis of the northern Uganda, the basoga & bagisu of eastern Uganda} by his 35years old government. For Buganda for example, he has repeatedly undermined the Kabakaship and made them beggers prompting majority of them to sell their land. This systematic way of impoverishment is what has resurrected the sense of M7 must go.
8. The unresolved Rwenzururu question. It is true Museveni inherited this problem between the Bakonzo & the batooro. And his efforts harmonize the conflict by gazetting the kingdom of Rwenzuru & Tooro as well as creating several districts within the region. However, his efforts to end prematurely the baby kingdom of Rwenzururu he gave birth too is self defeating. And I hope the people of Rwenzori will vote wisely.
9. Personalizing state assets and service organization such as the oil in bunyoro and the army which he repeatedly refers to as " my oil, my army"
10. Undermining the donor world { especially the American & European people} who have every funded 60% of our state budget for the past 35 years of his rule.
