{UAH} Bobi Wine will soon tell Ugandans to vote Museveni, says president’s mouthpiece

You know whenever I am in Uganda I do lots of politics, I check my people and their politics. Whenever I get chance I discuss politics. 

A few examples of my encounters:

 In 2013, I gave one lady a lift from Serere to Ngora , when she pulled her money to pay I told her to keep it. Then she asked, are you our MP? Then I asked her if she knew her MP and she said yes, Hon Epetait. I told her that yes I was. She was so happy and promised to vote for me again. Imagine that. 

When she reached her destination I stopped and as she thanked me so much, I told her that I was not her MP and that I was not Hon Epetait. She was shocked and asked who I was but I didn't tell her. I advised her to know her legislators, I also learned that the honourables do not meet the electorate. 

Again 2013  one week after Ngora trip I drove to Kapelebyong. I got people drinking at one trading centre, I stopped and waved at them, they refused to wave back. So I got off and went to greet them, they kept quiet. I knew there was a problem so asked them what was wrong. They said that I was bad, that I planned to give Museveni their land, that I was a bad MP and promised never to vote for again. I was shocked. They thought that I was Hon Eriaku. They just saw the type of car I drove - similar to Eriaku's car. 

So I engaged them about the land and I told them that I was not Eriaku but they could not accept, they even challenged me if I thought they were ignorant that I was joking with 

My brother spoiled the game by telling them I am from America. Oh, you should have seen how they all stood up, calling me with all niceties. I told them I was just a visitor. 

Lastly, October 2019,i went to see my brother 10 miles away from Soroti town. I went to the trading centre to greet revellers.

 They told me that before I greet them I must buy them drinks because I was looking for their votes. So I got the clue, I asked them to pledge that they will give the votes.

 I introduced myself as a certain former MP from the area surprisingly they believed me. So I promised to tarmac the road, build schools and so forth. 

My nephew and sister in law just died laughing. After "testing the UPC anthem," I told them that I was not that guy, I was just visiting the area. They were shocked then some of them asked brother's wife who exactly I was and bragged that I was her husband living in America. They tried to recruit me to stand for MP in their constituency. Just like that. 

I love our people but they are hard to understand, so when I see crowds following candidates, I know some are just escorts for fun, you never can be sure what motivates them.

If Anite spices her lies with some gorilla marked papers, you will see how they will carry her high on their shoulders.

The senior press secretary, Don Wanyama, has expressed delight at the rate which National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is canvassing votes for NRM flag bearers.

Wanyama said that very soon, Bobi Wine will be telling people to cast their votes for NRM's candidate, Yoweri Museveni.

Wanyama's comments came after Bobi Wine endorsed NRM Parliamentary flag bearer for Koboko Municipality seat, Dr Charles Ayume.

"I have studied Mr Ayume for a long time and he inspires me. Today I tell the people of Koboko to vote for him. I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him, " Bobi Wine said.

Just two days ago, Bobi Wine while campaigning in Kamuli endorsed Kamuli woman MP aspirant and speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga, another NRM flagbearer.

According to Wanyama, the singer cum politician is slowly bending towards endorsing President Museveni.
"Very soon, he'll tell Ugandans to vote Kaguta Museveni, just watch the space,"Wanyama said.
