Of Power Hungry Regan Okumu

=====================

Hon. Okumu Reagan resorts to intimidation, impromptu appearances at unscheduled rallies and violation of stipulated EC campaign hours as his quest to retain the Aswa parliamentary seat suffers major setback as his opponents continue to place more pressure on him.

Reagan, who has been labeled as the "war-era-MP" by opponents who are a few decades younger than him has been the voice of the war era voters in parliament since the mid-1990 but as time and voters needs change, a new generation of voters have emerge to demand that their voices need to be carried to parliament by members of their generation who can articulate their issues.  The wind of change is threatening power bases across the country making power holders act irrationally and Reagan has not been spared either.

Feeling threatened; Reagan is employing every means necessary to hold onto his seat. Last week at Kiceke village, in a sub-county in Gulu district, the honourable stormed a campaign rally where  DP's Obol Justine Simpleman, a LCV aspirant for Gulu, was addressing a crowd demanding that he be allowed to address the people.

Unfortunately for Reagan, the crowd booed him off until the LC1 of the area a one Okello Patrick a.k.a Kalampapa NUSAF, intervened telling him he wasn't scheduled for a rally at his village. Infuriated by the disrespect showed him, Hon. Origi, flanked by his two army bodyguards  engaged in what eyewitnesses described as "bullying his way" into the crowd where he proceeded to address a mute rally until around 10pm in the night.
