MUSEVENI'S PRINCE MUHOOZI IS JUST A SOCIAL MEDIA BATTLE HARDENED

Museveni's son Gen. Muhoozi has never commanded any battle. The only two most hyped instances when he came close to the battle field in Mogadishu and Garamba were simply royal tours. Just like was the case with the likes of Britain's Prince William and Harry who had a short stint in the military. In fact, in one instance when Prince Harry was in Helmand, Afghanistan in 2007 he was rushed into safety when the Taliban attacked Camp Baston leaving two US Marines dead. For Prince William who is the 2nd in line of the British throne, his scheduled tour of the field combat operations was cancelled in the face of a specific threat. Procedurally, their military engagements are always secured against exposure to dangerous situations by being surrounded by SAS's Royal Protection Officers. 

Similarly, Gen. Muhoozi being the 2nd in line of the Uganda throne, has always had his so-called military engagements secured by Museveni's version of the Royal Protection Officers dubbed SFC. His so-called combat engagements in Somalia and Congo's Garamba were mere royal tours where he was always kept away from harm's way. It's just symbolism the same way Museveni made a tour of Mozambique's guerrilla FRELIMO controlled zone in the late 60s but has always accorded that tour unnecessary hype of having fought alongside FRELIMO. Even during his five years of the Bush War, he wasn't one of the battle commanders. He would only wait for the victorious troops upon return from battle to claim credit. At one time, when he attempted to march for a long distance he fainted out of exhaustion only to be recuperated by Dr. Besigye before he d was carried on a stretcher for the rest of the journey. Moreover, he spent much of the Bush War period in Sweden with his family. 

However, behind the scenes, in his capacity as the Commander of Museveni's Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi has been issuing instructions for the massacre of innocent civilians in both Kasese (Nov. 2016) and Buganda (Nov. 2020). He has been coordinating brutal clampdowns on peaceful protesters and the press. He has also excelled in clandestinely coordinating the ongoing kidnap and in some instances summary killing of urban political dissenters. Overly, he has excelled in online combat where he has aggressively led a sustained attack on Rwanda and opposition leaders like Bobi Wine, Dr. Besigye and their alleged colonial backers. In these social media battles, he commands seasoned foot soldiers like Tamale Mirundi, Catherine Kusasira, Andrew Mwenda, Full Figure, Buchaman, Bajo, Basajja Mivule, Barlam Barugahare, Ashburg Kato and the like. However, even on the social media Frontline, when faced with fierce responses he has always pulled down his posts before going into hiding. Nonetheless, he retains the status of a social media battle hardened General and here below are a few samples of his enormous social media battles;

1. October 2020 battle with Rwanda.

"I can assure whoever even thinks of messing with Uganda will get a very bad day. Long live UPDF! Long live Ugandan Special Forces!" Gen Kainerugaba tweeted Monday morning.

Before this tweet, the General had posted thus, "Ugandan strong! I never used to believe it but Almighty God has made me a believer. Nobody can defeat Uganda! This is God's country. Whoever dares will be crushed to dust! Ruhanga asiimwe.Happy Independence Day! God bless Uganda!!!"

2. December 2920 battle with Bobi Wine.

"I told you my young brother, that you can NEVER intimidate us. We are much stronger than you can ever imagine to be. If you want to fight we will simply defeat you. We want peace! But if you attempt to fight us then Bring it on!"

"TheThere is no soldier in the UPDF who does not look up to Mzee Museveni as a father, many consider him a grandfather. Those who think they can use the military against the country are daydreaming!" he tweeted.

"Oh dear! Kabobi kangye! Why is he dressed in red from neck to toe? Trying to be a soldier with absolutely no training. Someone tell this young brother of mine that we are going to beat him very badly in the polls!" Lt. Gen. Muhoozi tweeted on December 30, 2020.

3. December 2020 battle with Dr. Besigye.

"We can discuss 'Presidential Monarchy' and the other allegations another time. But clearly it can't be hurting 'All' our people when Mzee Museveni wins elections with landslides? Have a good day Mzee Besigye. https://t.co/VzWSrVNqGz
