Boots and guns 

We got nowhere to run

'Stray bullets' cost much lives

No future for Gods' sons

For god and my country.

Am tired of living in hell

This isn't the place I can call home

This isn't THE PEARL I grew up in

Why are we dying and suffering like this?

Women in Nansana and Entebbe abattoirs  

Broken motherhood allover

Youths are so annoying!

What do you expect from the unemployed?

New taxes for mwana'inchi

Salary increment for MPs

Inflation is everywhere

Prices are so high.

Mr. Officer why are you arresting me?

I was peacefully protecting our codes 

Ooh Uganda may god uphold thee.

Understand me 

I am not here for propaganda

You can call me a messenger

Kidnap, assassination, public outcry 

From the wailing nationals

Shall we learn the truth?

No matter how hard!

Ooh Uganda may god uphold thee

Work together for a new solution

Fight corruption in all public institutions

We lay our future in they hand

United, freed for liberty

Together we shall stand

This is my reality, this is truth

From a Ugandan youth

It's crazy, scary like

                                                                 

                                                                Weshall get through 

Like we always do

There is always hope

Come together as a nation

Create a new pearl.

Listen to the message, don't shoot the messenger
