POST ELECTION ENVIRONMENT  SINCE  2001.

2021 is said to be  the  most peaceful post Election Environment in the history of uganda, I won't describe the  events , excitement , ignorance and divisions   that  mighty be the cause of this.

My aim is to unfold the events, pressure mounted on the regime, in the past .

President kizza Besigye  was clear on this that the 2001 sham Elections  , are  the most violent elections held  in our country. And this sham Election  happened in  darkness  since we didn't have social media  .

When the 2001 sham Elections  were  concluded  , the president who was under the  heavy surveillance at his home in luzira by then, had  to beat up the heavy deployment and  run to exile in South Africa  on 17th. 8. 2001.

When the president left , most of the comrades  including  his young brother musazi kifefe ( RIP) were arrested by the regime, accusing them of rebellious attacks  under  a rebel group called People's Redemption Army.

The  president was in South Africa physically but mentally  on the ground  mobilising freedom fighters,  strengthening the  structures  left behind.

Cutting the long story short, the president  returned on 26th.  October  2005. In November  the same year, much teargas  was  in kampala , as the intense pressure was amounted to the regime.

2006 POST ELECTION ENVIRONMENT.

After the sham Election of 2006 , the president  petitioned the courts to challenge the outcome,  the ruling favoured Gen. Museveni.

Reporters asked him , now what next since court  hasn't  nullified.  He replied  that " am going to  the court of  Mr. Museveni went into in 1980" .

Few days  later, Tusanami swept the  streets of kampala  this is  how defiance  was championed  . This was the day when  kampala  tasted  unprecedented teargas.

In 2006 on Saturday, president kizza Besigye  appeared on  cbs in apolitical show, he informed the public how he will hold a rally at city square  with or without  permission from the  police.

With the Fdc youth that included mp Ibrahim  kasozi of makindye  joined the protest aimed at releasing the political prisoners and  toppling the regime. Alot was done , campaigns were brought on board.

2011  POST ELECTION ENVIRONMENT.

This is the  time that Gen.  Museveni  will  never forget  in his life, having  stolen  our victory, president kizza Besigye  came up with walk to work.  the protests started in kampala  later turned out  as a  national  cause.

It's  said that  Gen.  Museveni, s personal   jet was on the run and some of his family members  had left the country.

Walk to work  was put on  halt on 28th.  April. When the notorious Gilbert Bwana  broke the  windscreens of the president and sprayed him with dangerous  chemical substances that  almost  tool his life.

  The president was airlifted to  Kenya for treatment   amidst the regime  resistance.

The president came back on 12th. 5. 2011, he found when  most ofthe Fdc youth league members   were compromised by the regime led by kale  kayihura. 

 most of them were  given  25 m , awarded  scholarships, goats and  other essentials.

2016 POST ELECTION ENVIRONMENT.

This  sham Election was announced when  president kizza Besigye was already  put under house arrest. Later  airlifted to  moroto  prison on 25th  may. 2016.

The president was later taken to luzira prison for 2 months on charges of  treason  having  sworn himself as the president.  The case has never surfaced since the president has consistently said  that he won the elections and  is ready to  submit the affidavits.

It's from this that different  campaigns  like break the  chains by the Fdc Redtop Brigade, Tuesday  prayers  , blue Friday, stay at home ( this  done  every Thursday in solidarity with the president who was under house arrest) and so many campaigns  that have been  brought  in this gradual process struggle.

The Fdc women in command  led by the fdc women league ( salute to fighter  Kristeen Behimbisa Kristen, Zaina Fatuma , Joyce Adikin Otongopendi,  Nyanjura Doreen and others   put up spirited fight  at kasaganti state house  , they took over the security of the  area,  controlled the Nrm police from occupying the  premises.

Many campaigns have been brought up under the  people's Government  that we formed  on 14th.  Feb. 2019.

2021  POST ELECTION ENVIRONMENT.

Nothing is pressuring  Gen. Museveni, we haven't  seen anything  minus  excited  politicians  who are trying to  undermine  other campaigns, well as celebrating  political positions.

Gen.  Museveni  must be the happiest  man, in this  post Election Environment. Let's watch the space.
