{UAH} Simon Kisaka on DJT!

*Congratulations on making it to the year 2021. And A Happy New Year to you and yours!*

And in my view one of the great apocalyptic events to have happened in 2020 apart from the deadly pestilence, was the US Presidential elections! The US and the world became divided in a deadly fashion due to one man - President Donald Trump (DT) DT became the second highest trending story of 2020.
DT in my view (sorry if some disagree) is a type of the "Anti-Christ" talked about in the Bible, a boastful figure, a false Christ, who perpetrates a great lie that he is a type of Messiah, who changes the truth into a lie, makes good evil and evil good. In Scriptures, the Anti-Christ will be a person who obtains a great following through loud and boastful speech (twitter feed?) to the point that many begin to worship the man like he is a god or sent by God.

The Anti-Christ, in Scripture, defiles the Jewish temple by entering it and declaring himself God. Trump walks to a church, violently dispersing protestors and poses with a Bible. Trump almost perfectly fits the profile, except I know he is not the real anti-Christ. The real one is yet to come. But Trumps god-like grip on the Republicans, Conservatives and Evangelicals in the US, is truly a wonder to behold! Nothing before seen in the history of the US. However, he is certainly just a taste of what is to come! We all watched the US elections (still going by the way) glued to our TV sets, at the edge of our seats, for days on end! Why? – DT!

I am glad and greatly relieved that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won. A man of good character he is and I pray we will have reprieve from all the chaos and madness we have been subjected to under DT. But I know more is to come in the years ahead. What we have seen is nothing compared to what is to come, if we are to take the prophecies of Jesus and the Bible seriously. The anti-Christ of Scripture will deceive the whole world and get the whole world to follow him.

My message for 2021 comes from the way 2020 ended. 2020 ended with the admonition to the world to look up as Saturn and Jupitar converged to form a sign in the heavens. Most of us rarely look up but I believe God created the celestial bodies so we could look up and see His signs and wonders. There is divine knowledge for us hidden in the stars. Looking up tells us that there is much more to the Universe than us, our world, our problems and our myopic concerns! Looking up tells us there is much more to life than this life in the here and now. Looking up tells us that our potential reaches to and beyond the stars! It also teaches us humility and shows us how tiny we are in comparison to the awesomeness and vastness of God. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face and the things of this world, will grow strangely dim, in the light of his glory and grace! Look up for your redemption draws near! I will end below with the beatitudes of Christ.
