This might not be chasing vanity. You people  think every Ugandan can go anywhere, really? There's a salient message here, Bobi and Babie are not criminals or suspected of international crimes. 

I will not name names here but I am sure there are Ugandans who cannot even reach the US embassy in Uganda leave alone travelling to USA. They want to go but can't. Some "powerful people" cannot even go for official duties abroad, I understand even that there are some with case files in the USA. 

So, this is news, there's a message being delivered, Bobi is being persecuted at home but so far has no case to stop him and members of their family from  travelling around. 

Besides, she has family there, it is not easy to be separated from one's children, very painful.
