As a proud feminist, I salute this Councillor-elect. The lady is simply unstoppable: being a divorcee comes with some stigma and trauma. 

But she's determined to move, as she channels her failed marriage in a positive manner. Her ex tried to cajole her to drop out of the race. Since they still live in the same village, where they grew up, this former couple can't avoid running into each other.

Reminds of Michael McDonald's hit single, I Keep Forgetting....
