{UAH} Theft of Yaka Meters is on the raise in Mbale

Theft of Yaka Meters is on the rise in Mbale.The Yaka meter in this case is not the one placed inside the houses but outside on the poles. At least three cases are reported daily.

There are two groups of thieves involved in this. One being umeme field employees or ex. Employees. And the other group is boys who have been trained by the umeme guys. The second group is said to be more lethal as they operate as a gang armed to the teeth and high on a new kind of super drug called "ikwiri" - whatever it means I dont know, maybe a weed , dope or cocktail . Uganda zaabu.

I call upon whoever is doing it to simply be careful not to be arrested but to smartly continue doing as he earns. The fact that everything is highly costing though salaries are low, theft will simply continue
