WHAT DID THE NORTHERNERS DO TO UGANDANS?

The race for Speakership is on! And with a lot of hate, ignorance and naivety, people are attacking the current deputy speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah because he hails from the North; many claiming that he doesn't qualify to be the next Speaker of Parliament.

First of all, it's public knowledge that General Museveni rewards politicians according to their electorate. According to the Electoral Commission, the entire Northern region was won by the NRM and the person who coordinated that massive win was Jacob Oulanyah.

If I was an NRM MP, I would definitely vote for him. Oulanyah haters allege that since the Judiciary is headed by Alphonse Owiny-Dollo a Northerner, they can't have another Speaker also from the North.

Those parading that argument are either parading it out of hate or ignorance.

It's on record that the Parliament has ever been headed by James Wapakhabulo from the East and the Chief Justice then was Wako Wambuzi also from the East!

Two years back, the Judiciary was headed by Bart Katurebe from the West and the Executive was headed by Gen Museveni from the West!

By the way, forget about those top executive positions, briefly let us look at some top Government bodies that have been taken over by westerns!

 NSSF is headed by Richard Byarugaba

 NWSC is headed by Dr. Silver Mugisha

 UNRA is headed by Allen Kagina

 URA is headed by John Musinguzi,

 Bank of Uganda is headed by Tumusiime Mutebile, just to mention a few, are headed by people from the West.

Unless it's out of hate, why would someone make noise because of two men (Owiny-Dollo & Oulanyah) from the entire Northern region!

If we want to live in a peaceful Uganda, let all regions have the same share from the national cake!

If you have no credible and substantial reason for Oulanyah not becoming a Speaker please just shut up!
