{UAH} Banyarwanda living in Uganda seek to change name to Abavandimwe

It is very strange for me to understand why many Ugandans from the Eastern part of our country have lived in Kenya from way before 1915/16 yet not a single one of them is classified as a Kenyan. Oh and in that Criss crossing, families have been created across both boarders to make it even so complex identifying a Kenyan from a Iteso in the Mbale/Kisumu axis. And yet those Ugandans from the East, are never identified as Kenyans under the Kenyan constitution, let alone stand up to the Kenyan government to be identified as a Bavandimwe.

In all tragedies Rwandese have created in our country let alone theirs only, it is quite bizarre that Ugandans are falling all over them selves to end up assimilated by Rwandese in their very own country. Quite bizarre  !!!!

It is mind boggling !!!!!!

Banyarwanda living in Uganda seek to change name to Abavandimwe
A section of Banyarwanda living in Uganda has asked local authorities to change their tribe name to Abavandimwe, translated as "brethren", a move they say will reduce segregation among the respective communities they live in.
Under their newly established council of Abavandimwe, the group claims that their tribe has been confused with the Rwandan nationals and many have been denied social services including National Identity Cards and passports.
Addressing the media in Kampala, the Abavandimwe (Banyarwanda) Council chair, Dr Lawrence Muganga said they have systematically been locked out of the Ugandan economy and public service related job opportunities.
