He is originally known as Hajji Hassan Kafeero Mutaasa is born to Yusuf Kafeero, his father. He attended school at his father's Primary School. He is a grandchild of Adam Mutaasa , whose statue is is the one that you rock your eyes on when you enter the might Mutaasa Kafeero plaza located in the heart of Kampala city.
He is one of the city tycoons that have been in the game for long, and very quiet off the scene while minting money.

Hajji Mutaasa Kafeero owns a lot of things that include hotels and arcades among other investments in Kampala, Jinja and Mbarara. He owns Mutaasa Kafeero Plaza on Luwumu Street, Zainab Aziz Emporium at Nakasero, Hotel Triangle on Buganda Road and Hotel Triangle Mbarara, Western Uganda.
He owns four homes, he built all his houses looking the same way and possessing the same items and decorations. He has a house in Bweyogerere another in Kakajjo and another in Nakwero along Gayaaza road.
He has a fleet of cars and much more property.
