{UAH} NUP MESSED UP OPPOSITION
By Dennis Tumuhairwe
NUP announced demonstrations protesting the outcome of the 2021 Presidential elections, exactly 54 days (8 weeks) after Ugandans went to polls.
That is the reason it didn't/won't work. ©DeanLubowaSaava
In 2016, after the rigged Presidential elections, Dr. Kizza Besigye announced countrywide demonstrations code named "Plan B" as the only remaining strategy to oust the dictator whom he (KB) after being rigged several times had concluded he (M7) will never hand over power through the ballot🗳 .
FDC unsuccessfully rallied Ugandans under Article3️⃣ (Twerwaneko) of the Constitution which empowers citizens to resist anyone or a group of persons who try to capture their power that is granted to them in Article 1.
Article1⃣ clearly states; "All Power belongs to the people and they shall be governed through their will and consent..."
NUP disassociated themselves from "Plan B" and claimed theirs was a single Plan, "A" to remove the dictator.
Some few days after the 2021 Presidential elections, some NUP bloggers who had been influential in the elections declared 3 days shutdown of Kampala protesting the rigged election, these were also denounced at a press conference in Magere. This announcement had come timely and people were ready to respond. We have never understood why magere poured water on them 🤷🏼♂️
Such actions by NUP demoralized the spirit of Ugandans thus collapsing the whole idea of demonstrations.
Surprisingly, when people kept asking "Ki ekidako" What Next? NUP decided to declare demonstrations as the only remaining option(As KB said 5yrs ago) but this announcement came a little too late when their supporters now thought that NUP doesn't believe in demonstrations.
Unless we come together, NO single person or political organization can #removeAdictator.
We are all prisoners in the same prison/Uganda, some are just mere "Katikiros and" RPs" in the prison.
The RPs(Opposition leaders) must try to coexist with fellow prisoners, accept advice/suggestions which could help the struggle for #freedom, especially when those inmates have been in the "jail" longer.
Opposition must desist from resembling the dictator #Tibuhaburwa whom we are trying to remove.
The blackmailing attacks on the NUP elected leaders by former Ntv journalist turned blogger Dean Lubowa Ssaava, regardless of my disapproval of most of them is unwarranted. Where did Saava get the purported "list" of those paid by Museveni unless he was also present? Dean Lubowa Saava lives in Uganda, before accusing others of being bought, let him show what he has done for the struggle. Also table some evidence to backup his alligations...
It's our equal responsibility to collectively fight/demand for justice, equality and freedom for all. Uganda belongs to all of us, #UgandansYaffeFenna
