{UAH} PUBLIC QUESTION FOR IPOD SUMMIT STAKEHOLDERS.

So preparations are in high gear at Kololo airstrip for the Inter Party Organization for Dialogue summit scheduled for Friday 5th 2021. Tight security is already deployed at the venue and surrounding neighbourhood days in advance.
Citizens are also discussing what to expect from this summit. While their cynism is hilarious, I'll stick to raising here what I believe is important going forward.
The political parties and donor partners behind IPOD should first have the decency to account for their project not only to themselves, but also publicly to the people of Uganda by submitting a financial report on one hand, and a political report on the other. This is especially relevant now when this nation is experiencing the most brutal political season the people of Uganda and the country's development partners have ever seen since the dark days of Obote II.
So how has IPOD directly or indirectly contributed to this situation if at all?
In that light, it would be pertinent that project funders and IPOD organizers respond in public interest to the following: If IPOD'S declared political purpose is to foster dialogue and promote democracy especially needed under todays abductions, torture, military court martials of civilians on trumped up charges, mysterious disappearances and senseless killings, why haven't organizers pragmatically extended a special invitation to the National Unity Platform which even under the disputed 14th January election results that it has challenged at the Supreme Court, the party clearly represents more Ugandans than most of the political parties attending IPOD combined?
Lastly, what has been the real impact of IPOD summits since it's inception and has there been any progress registered in IPOD's stated goals?
The issue being that if IPOD has not succeeded in it's purpose of promoting democracy, and the fear for many apolitical observers now is that the good intentions behind this project possibly lends the noble forum to being used as a tool for legitimizing and therefore entrenching a stagnant "Dictatorcy" (which is simply a brutal dictatorship struggling to pass for a principled democracy), under good governance public administration methodologies, and even in business management best practices, doesn't this abuse of IPOD therefore signify that the forum has been a great concept, but is unfortunately now a sparklingly failed project where many in Uganda and abroad simply see a "perrennially winning dictator" pretending to discuss the political future of this country with his "perrennially loosing opponents" following his "perrennially stolen elections" after which they all pretend to chart a way forward for multiparty democracy in the "perrenially inconsequential IPOD" then go back to the reality of "perrenial political violence" where it is the ordinary people of Uganda who suffer?

God Bless!
