{UAH} Queen Elizabeth Orders ‘No More Marrying Americans’
Not pleased with the colonials. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfree for an in-depth interview regarding the nature of the couple's estrangement from the rest of the British monarchy. The conversation included harsh criticisms of the institution. While they lived in Britain, they were in golden cages. Harry and Meghan depicted the monarchy as being in a codependent relationship with right-wing British tabloids. Without the tabloids behind the royals, it would be possible the institution wouldn't last. When she was attacked by the press, the monarchy stood by and did nothing. When she was suicidal the message they received was, "We all had to suffer through it, dear."
Due to the accusations, senior royals met to come up with a strategy on how to deal with the crisis. No one outside the meeting knows what was decided on. However, one thing is clear. Queen Elizabeth doesn't want anyone else dating or marrying an American.
"The colonials are nothing but problems," she said.
The Colonists Are The Problem
Edward the VIII is the only monarch in British history who abdicated his throne willingly. And he did it for love. Edward met Wallis Warfield-Simpson and the two started a scandalous relationship. She was married at the time and had been divorced before that. When it became known Wallis was filing for divorce and Edward and she were going to be married, all hell broke loose. Winston Churchill was in the House of Commons at the time and supported the couple. However, a vast majority of Parliament was against the marriage.
Despite the seemingly united front against him, Edward could not be dissuaded. He proposed a morganatic marriage, in which Wallis would be granted no rights of rank or property, but on December 2, Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin rejected the suggestion as impractical. The next day, the scandal broke on the front pages of British newspapers and was discussed openly in Parliament. With no resolution possible, the king renounced the throne on December 10. The next day, Parliament approved the abdication instrument, and Edward VIII's reign came to an end. The new king, George VI, made his older brother the duke of Windsor. On June 3, 1937, the duke of Windsor and Wallis Warfield married at the Château de Cande in France's Loire Valley.
The Queen's Edict
Queen Elizabeth's declaration is to take effect immediately. Sources say she's had enough of the United States muddling up the royal family. One anonymous aide said, "If anyone swipes right at an American on a dating site they are going to be cut off. That's how serious she is."
Even though things look bleak right now, a vast majority of British subjects agree things would be much worse if Charles was in charge.
