The legacy left by trump will be the composed records of a president so cripplingly self-absorbed whose brain is in a conspicuous status of decay. He'll be remembered as a hideously twisted, demoralising and humiliating decline for our species.

As individuals, we have become acutely mindful the president has a near-consistent drive to accuse others of that which, someplace in his mutilated psyche, he clearly realises he is blameworthy.

He'll be the president who for four to eight hours daily, sits in front of TV's; who watches Fox to be more adoring of himself, and to gather inspiration, and CNN and MSNBC to become thoroughly pissed off and chaotically apoplectic. After which, he live-tweets throughout these link news marathons, deeming what is broadcast as God's gospel or, if it's disapproving of him, as crafted by the Devil himself.

The presidency is not about the law. It's about trump who has never had any respect for the law. It's about race and power.

He'll be remembered as the president who continually interchanges subjects and trains of thought, who, without completing a sentence, bounces from topic to points of attack and defence, sometimes related but mostly not, doing whatever it takes not to suffocate the audience in a bewildering surge of his lies and malarkey. After all, he can scarcely keep track of all of it himself.

He's the president whose conduct isn't transgressively clownish or despicable, but remarkably perilous and disempowering of America's general public each time he spruiks his instability, which is more often than not.

His breaks with tradition are so jarring; the obsessive use of Twitter which he refers to as his megaphone, so substantial, he has shed responsibilities in a job that customarily only accumulates them. He has dismissed allies, his own employees, and even the most established presidential aspiration, telling the truth like lint off his suit.

The history books will delineate a remarkably famous office that is in such critical condition. It is so overburdened with an administration laden to the gills with dead-enders who are elderly white folks tenaciously grasping their need for one more shot at relevance. And that is extremely dangerous.

Persistent in his demands, and not at all like anything the Founders planned when they structured the role over 200 years back, trump will go down in the history books as an out and out threatening and malignant narcissist.

trump, an unnerving, terrifying child-man congested to the eyeballs with a furious sense of narcissistic revenge, he will fill page after page and the scholars will be grateful they weren't yet born to witness the damage.
