{UAH} What should be done to address poverty in Uganda

Every election cycle in Uganda, politicians pledge to develop their respective areas. Despite the promise, poverty levels have continued shooting up. the proportion of people living in poverty according to the national poverty line increased by 1.7% between 2012 and 2016.

The 2016/2017 Uganda National Household Survey shows that the proportion of people living in poverty increased to 21.4% from 19.7%. Poverty incidences remain higher in the rural areas standing at 31% compared to urban areas with 15%.

Qn What should be done to address poverty in Uganda.
