Residents of Omunkondo, Nyaburiza Parish, Nyarutuntu Sub County in Ntungamo District have decried what they call "being used as slaves" in Museveni's newly acquired farm in the locality. They say it's another form of brutal treatment after elections.
The residents believe they were being used by Museveni as free labor to prepare the farm and once the work was done, he had no more use for them. Their plea for reason has only been met with brutal force from columns of SFC soldiers guarding the farm.
The area residents who still own land around the area have complained of an increasing inconvenience since Museveni became their unwelcome neighbor. Herders have complained that their cattle can no longer access communal village watering points because Museveni's farm has swallowed up most of the traditional livestock and human foot paths.

The residents have complained that after Museveni's acquisition of that big chunk of land, many residents were degraded from being land owners to squatters. They further allege that Museveni soldiers and family members went as far as applying unnecessary force, intimidation, and coercion show that the land belong to their master (Museveni).
Left without land for their cattle and for growing their food crops, many of the affected individuals approached Museveni's farm manager Augustine Murangira. But it looks like they did so in vain. In their frustration they even proposed a monthly fee so that they could cultivate subsistence crops, seeing that the farm is mostly left lying in disuse.
Nonetheless, little did the squatters know that the permission to cultivate crops was a trap! After three years of cultivating crops and clearing the farm, they were suddenly forbidden from setting foot on the farm again. The shocked residents were not even allowed the right to harvest what they have planted.
