Oh please, what does Eid day has to do with national issues? Really? We can stop a national issue for there is an Eid? This is a very wrong call and in all ways you look at it sir. We are complaining about religions being interfered into by politics and the other way around, and now the religion its self is creeping its self into the political arena. Religion has always failed to work when mixed with politics and that is the very reason Jonan Luwum was rightly clobbered. Yes I said rightly clobbered, for he abandoned the Altar of preaching for peace and tried to play firkin politics. And now a Moslem himself, is stating that we cannot have a swearing in ceremony for it is going to be Eid, well let us hand you that today, what is the next demand you are going to make sir? Stop Independence day for it has fallen on Eid? Not hold a state funeral for it has fallen on Eid? So now all national occasions have to be cross checked with The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council and if it falls on a Moslem holiday we have to move the national function? Hey can we do state funerals on Eid when I am on the same nonsense? And then a small voice in my head starts to raise its hand, has it occurred to Sheik Abbey Semuwemba that Uganda has a just miniature of Moslems? The last number I saw I think was about 10 or 12%.
By the way Semuwemba the Moslem religion does not only have Eid Al-Fitr as a holiday, it has the Mawlid An-Nabbi, Laylat Al-Qadr, Eid Al-Ghadeer, Layat Al-Qadr, Arba’een, Eid Al-Adha, Ashura to call for just a few. Are you making this call only for Eid Al-Fitr or you are throwing your foot in the water to test the temperature on how to demand for stopping for any national occasion to all Moslem holidays? ->Just asking !!!!!!!
I am sorry but the request is as silly as Ugandans torching money but time, to swear in a man that has lived more years as a president than a commoner. The man won the election, please let us move on and use that money to put a teacher in a firkin Kuumi class room, to get a smarter firkin Dope {Padhola} than Peter Simon Okurut please. Geee’eeeZ !!!!!
