{UAH} This is another motivation for people to invest in fasting.
Friends/ family,
Ramandhan Kareem. This is another motivation for people to invest in fasting.
That is a YouTube by a Canadian nephrologist Jason Fung, MD, who runs a clinic for type 2 diabetics. He uses intermittent fasting in his treatment, and he claims a high success rate.
Dr. Fung has a novel explanation of DM2. He says that DM2 is chronically high levels of insulin (DM2 = hyperinsulinemia). DM2 is caused by insulin resistance, for which he has an ingenious explanation. And chronically high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) is only a symptom of the disease.
Dr. Fung describes insulin resistance as a condition in which overeating causes more glucose to enter the bloodstream than insulin can store in the cells as glycogen. The pancreas secretes more insulin to somehow force excess glucose into the cells. When overeating continues, the pancreas has to produce even more insulin to force even more glucose into the cells. This is a vicious cycle that ends in chronic hyperinsulinemia.
Dr. Fung uses intermittent fasting to temporarily lower the blood sugar level, which temporarily lowers the insulin level. Over time, intermittent fasting, combined with other dietary restraints, reverses the vicious cycle until blood insulin and glucose return to normal.
