"Why is Trump so angry?" is the better-tailored question. Biden is just the obvious person to blame and vilify and belittle at the moment.

It's always someone, and it isn't because he lost the election - he was angry the day he was inaugurated ["That was some weird shit, right there": George W Bush, after Trump's inaugural speech], he was angry every night at 2 or 3 am when he'd tweet out vindictive thoughts that were running through his Fox-injected sleepless mind, he was angry when he met with geopolitical allies, he was angry when reporters didn't suck up, he was angry with his courtiers. He's still angry at a whole slew of politicians and personalities besides Biden.

Trump is someone who enjoys his anger, and feels entitled to it. He seethes a lot, and frequently erupts. He has tantrums, but in a grown man with money and power it intimidates people and enables him to dominate them. He is a moron relative to Deborah Birx but we learned this week that he was able to subject her to "an extremely uncomfortable" confrontation based on nothing but his own anger.

Anger is a pleasure for him, or at least a self-rewarding activity, but it is also a defense. When he's pinned down, asked for detail, contradicted, he begins to seethe. You see the rage welling up, and then he goes into an angry accusatory rant. It was his debating technique with Hillary and Biden. Without it, there's nothing. He basically just closes his eyes and starts windmilling with his fists, but it works for him, and his base says "He totally won - they were scared of him and he wasn't scared of them."

Anger is the expression of power - your anger is the anger that matters. Trump feels powerful when he's angry, and he likes it. That's why he's so angry with Biden.
