{UAH} STATEMENT: DOMINIC ONGWEN SENTENCE IS JUSTICE & PEACE FOR THE ACHOLI PEOPLE.

A good day for the Acholi people, and all victims of Joseph Kony and his beastly Lords Resistance Army. ICC Trial Chamber IX has just sentenced Dominic Ongwen (picture), Brigade Commander of the LRA's "Sinia Brigade", to 25 years in prison for 61 counts of heinous crimes against humanity including rape, torture, enslavement and murder. The international criminal has until May 21st to appeal the sentence. But while this convict has been made to answer for his crimes, his mastermind enjoys flagrant impunity. All efforts must continue to be made to bring Joseph Kony himself before Justice.
