As vaccination continues in this country, the province of Ontario is concerned about the blood clot from the AstraZeneca vaccine. The numbers this afternoon show that blood clots from this particular vaccine have increased from 0.9 per 100,000 doses to 1.7 per 100,000 doses. Thus with these numbers the province of Ontario is halting administering the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine as a first doze effective this afternoon.

 

The vaccine is currently administered by pharmacies for adults aged 40 and over. Do not take AstraZeneca vaccine till when we get a better clarification from the province.
