{UAH} HOW IS MIRUNDI DIFFERENT FROM THE BIZONTOS???

Written by CHANGE OF GUARDS

Veteran Journalist, Tamale Mirundi is Museveni's former Press Secretary who was sacked a few years ago after he had served Museveni for over ten years.  As an ethnic Muganda, he had been spotted by Museveni just as a way of silencing him from his exceptional courage in articulating the Museveni regime's evil schemes of destroying Uganda and Buganda in particular.  A decade later, after Mirundi realized that he had been taken hostage, used and abused, he attempted to regain his independent mindedness before he was humiliatingly sacked.  Since then, he has gone on a rampage – courageously and articulately exposing the regime's evil designs using very damaging but factual information.  He has won public confidence across the social, economic and political divide.  Attempts at frustrating and directly blocking his radio and TV Talk-shows have failed to some extent.  He has also repeatedly claimed threats on his life by the regime.  The emergence of the Buganda dominated Bobi Wine and his People Power political platform has reenergized Mirundi's informative crusade. His radio and TV Talk-shows played a major role in swaying the Buganda vote against Museveni in the just concluded general elections.  The regime, and Museveni in particular, must be regretting why it sacked Mirundi but is too shy to bring him back into the regime's ranks.

The Bizontos, on the other hand, is a stage name of a group of comedians who use satire to attack and expose the Museveni regime's grand evil designs and injustices to destroy the country and Buganda in particular.  The group has won much popularity by tackling deliberate designs of social and economic inequalities and political repression by a section of Ugandans whose patron is non other than Museveni.  In July 2020, they were violently arrested on accusations of promoting sectarianism and offensive communication after they hinted on Museveni's Banyankole ethnic group domination of most of the top government positions.  After detention for several days, they were released in the hope that they had been intimidated enough to shut up.  Instead, they were reenergized and have gone ahead with their crusade. Just like Tamale Mirundi, their role in swaying the Buganda vote against Museveni is immeasurable.  They  also excelled in enlightening the public on the election rigging and post election political repression and gross human rights abuses. Last week, they were arrested again over the July 2020 accusations and charged before court before they were released on bail.

Therefore, the only difference between Tamale Mirundi and the Bizontos is that while the Museveni regime is too shy to arrest the former, but more so since he also attacks Mengo, the regime is set to silence the latter because Bizonto is more affiliated to Buganda and the Baganda.  In the same regard, CBS radio and BBS Television is put on notice.
