{UAH} What exactly was Behind M7's ministerial choices?
Friends
In everything you do this weekend, get a moment and read the writing of Hon. Agnes Nandutu the now state minister in charge of Karamoja, it is the very classic example of life in Uganda. Many out there wonder why Museveni has remained in power this long, Nandutu’s story is the very foundation of the reason. Ugandans have a chance to fight and live their lives a fight they never had a chance during the UPC two government. It is not an easy fight but they go for it. Uganda has a very bad corruption, that is a very well given, but Uganda as well within that corruption, the population in a very weird way has a chance to survive. And that is why Allan Barigye a Rwandan moreover, raised his voice immediately and called the entire writing a distraction, and he cautioned all of you to wait for the bomb that is about to fall. No the state minister did not need a distraction she just decided to write what she lived through, how hard she worked, and how hard working in Uganda pays off. Good for her and good for Abbey Semuwemba to post that side of the story, about our country that Rwandans like Barigye have always brushed off.
This man has become the longest serving president, yet in all doom and gloom Rwandans like Barigye have preached, you have failed to create an organized opposition against him, why have you failed to create it? Because you have failed to get a single factor that organize the population into opposition. Ugandans today fly home as they so wish, did you fly to Uganda as you wished when the Peter Simon Okuruts were in power? A couple of weeks ago we lost a kid in Copenhagen, a funeral I decided to make public in this forum, but something else happened that I never pointed out, after that funeral on Saturday, the family and the close friends, from Denmark and several countries, decided to bunch all of themselves, the very next Monday and head home to hold a vigil in Uganda, they left the very next Monday, I think a total combination of about 20 people from a couple of countries. Both Ugandans and none Ugandans. By Monday evening, they were all in Uganda to today, they are still in Uganda. How many times did you see families of Ugandans in diaspora making such an impromptu decision to fly home, and hold a vigil of a loved one under the Obote two government? That is the stability Museveni has handed to Ugandans, and when they think of the difference from Museveni they vision an Acholi on a road block in Kampala, they vision their kids being raped in front of them, and they walk away from opposing Museveni.
Acholi violence will remain the reference point of Uganda politics for a very long time, and The Mayimuna Kenyi’s that call Acholi Brazas, are the very Ugandans that never lived under Acholi, the very Mayimuna Kenyi’s whose daughters were never raped when they were six years old in their mother’s face.
It is not my job to talk about the dead in this forum, but I am going to do it to illustrate my point, one of the friends I have lost in this city, was the brother of Joseph Ochieno, yes he was a very good friend. But that man was a diplomat in the Nairobi embassy during the Obote two government. As we were sitting in a Uganda organization meeting in this city, the late Dr Ssenyonjo stood in his face and reminded him how terrible he was as a Uganda diplomat in Nairobi. You see the late Mrs. Ssenyonjo was a highly respected doctor in Uganda, that had studied and even worked in London, and one of those days she walked to Uganda embassy in Nairobi, probably the very days I was in Nairobi as well, and she wanted the embassy to help her and document her travel to London. Joseph Ochieno’s late brother, used his position in Nairobi embassy, to deny every Muganda applicant that showed up in that embassy including Dr Ssenyonjo, and they all failed to travel. All none Baganda, and all UPC members were documented and all travelled. Dr Ssenyonjo was denied a visa for she was not documented by Uganda embassy.
As crap falls, after the fall of Obote two government, the Joseph Ochieno’s brother and Mrs. Ssenyonjo immigrated to Toronto, and were both sitting in the very same room where we held the Ugandans meeting. She blew a firkin gasket, and threw out all F-bombs that I never heard her throwing out. She got a good piece of him. As we played the old people strategy, I would not help but understand where the poor doctor was coming from, this is a man that was posted in a Uganda embassy, to help all Ugandans, yet the very same crap that Peter Simon Okurut used to rob off Uganda the education he owns today, also ruled in the Obote embassies, and this woman decided to take a piece of this man. Those are the very reference points Ugandans use to make decisions on Museveni. When my dear friend OJ passed away, I was out of the country, but Uganda embassy in Ottawa was opened up and not only buried him, but accommodated every Ugandan that showed up including Gwokto. And when food showed up even Gwokto ate. I have gone after Museveni but OJ was a direct threat of Museveni and Museveni knew him by name, to a point that he appointed him to be a minister and OJ turned down that appointment. And yet at his passing the embassy was opened up for that funeral. Think about that embassy and the embassy in Nairobi that Joseph Ocheino’s brother was running, under the Obote two government that blocked Ugandans due to the their tribe. All Baganda were denied to travel by Joseph Ochieno’s brother.
And you are standing in UAH today preaching how Museveni is tribalistic? Give me a firkin beak !!!!!!!
When I walk back to UAH, it is a huge forum 10,000 members plus, how many actually oppose Museveni in this forum? Where is he outrage? John Kwitonda, Annett and a bunch of UPC members that never supported Museveni any ways. Allan Barigye a Rwandan that is just out to screw anything about Uganda. Isn’t that it? In 2021 we have the ability to know how many people are reading these pieces, UAH is actually one of the highest read forums, I was surprised, throw a Microsoft program to monitor how many are reading on UAH, the numbers are astronomical, and consistently, ask yourself a simple question, if Ugandans are reading this much about what we post. Why are they not using this forum to oppose Museveni and to rant? And some have been members for a very long time, I was surprised to see John Tendo posting as well, he has been in these forums for a very long as I can remember. Where is Museveni’s opposition?
People value the peace Museveni has put in Uganda, and if you are POcure that does not see it that is your load leave with it. The rest of Ugandans are no longer waiting in taxis as their wives are being screwed by Acholi on the road block side, we are no longer forced to cut all grass on the side of the road for miles, our children are safe in boarding schools to a point that Uganda today actually has schools where Ugandans in diaspora can send their kids to study in Uganda, they ride horses too. Would you send your kid into Uganda under the Obote two government? Her pants would have been torn off at Katabi road block, a road block that was manned by Nalongo a UPC chairwoman. What a character she was. Acholi would prowl the entire city suburb stealing what they need, and raping every skirt they see, all boarding schools of our children were targeted, all hospital nurses were targeted, firkin Nuns were targeted. Acholi dicks were the single threat to everything in a walking skirt. Ugandans can live with corruption thank you, but if you work hard as everyone must work hard you can survive in Uganda, and make a whole bunch of money too, and end up a state minister when you are even from firkin Eastern Uganda.
Hon Agnes Nandutu is a classic example

Subject: {UAH} What exactly was Behind M7's ministerial choices?
*ITS SUCH A VERY INSPIRING STORY TO ME- BANUPDATES*
*Hon. Agnes Nandutu former journalist now State Minister in charge of Karamoja was a guest on MwasuzeMutya this morning.*
I was born in a poor family and my parents separated when I was still young so I grew up with my paternal grandfather. I studied my primary in Bumawali Primary school and we used to first dig before going to school. I got aggregate 5 in P7.
I dropped out of school before senior four and I decided to cross over from Bududa to Kenya where I worked as a housemaid in Nakuru and later Nairobi. My mother was working as a housemaid in Kenya too and I worked there for 3 years
My mother sent me back to Uganda but I was demotivated to go back to school so I decided to head to Mbale where I worked in a restaurant and bar. My bosses liked me because I was a hard worker and trustworthy. I later came to Kampala with my cousin.
In Kampala we were living in Wabigalo, a slum in Namuwongo and my plan was to land a job in a good restaurant or hotel, make money and go back to school. My cousin had a friend at Radio Uganda and I used to tour the place and one day I gave it a try.
I did voice training and started presenting a health show on radio. I was a freelancer then and my first salary was UGX 16000. My friend encouraged me to study journalism so I went to Uganda Institute of Business and Media studies and got a certificate.
I joined Monitor and told them I wanted to write. When my first story appeared in the paper, I decided to go back to school and get a diploma to improve my writing skills. I was freelancing both at Radio Uganda and Monitor and still joined Impact radio.
By the time I joined Impact radio I had four children. I had to juggle motherhood and about four jobs at the same time. I started reporting at parliament at Impact FM and one time while I was in the field at the workshop I got into labor.
My passion for journalism helped me land those jobs despite being a dropout. In spite of my educational background, I never wrote a false story during my time at Monitor. At Monitor, life was good because I had a good salary and I used to travel.
On recommendation from NTV's Samuel Ssettumba, I started working on NTV as a reporter. I resigned from Monitor and crossed to TV even though I was being offered a promotion. My first story was on Buganda road eviction and later I started point blank.
When I started the people's Parliament I wanted to give people a voice. People started pushing me to stand for MP but I wasn't interested. I wanted to retire in the newsroom. In 2013 I went back to school at Uphill College Mbuya to complete my S4.
I sat my senior 6 in the same school in 2015 and I did not pass so I went back in 2017 and resat my exams . Wherever I could go, people were pushing me to join politics, my Pastor inclusive. Daniel Kalinaki encouraged me to join politics without money.
In Bududa primaries, I walked door to door because I had no money and I was well-liked but I lost primaries. During elections, two people were disqualified which worked to my advantage. The incumbent won 2/28 sub-counties only and I cried when I won.
I did not see the ministerial position coming as a first-timer. The president has been my friend for a long time as a journalist but we were not that close. Being an MP was enough for me because winning a seat was a miracle. I read the cabinet list and cried because I was in disbelief
