{UAH} WHY KADAGA DESERVES TO BE PAID IN THE SAME CURRENCY WITH MUSEVENI’S BUSH WAR COMRADES

In his grand scheme of destroying all institutions of governance, Uganda's military dictator has always found a partner in Rebecca Kadaga who has been the Speaker of Parliament.  She has always been at hand to cover-up Museveni's dictatorial policies, outright theft of public resources, gross abuse of human rights, institutionalized corruption, sectarianism, and nepotism.  The latest helping hand was controversial constitutional amendment to remove the age limit for Museveni to continue running for the presidency.  She connived with Museveni to send the army in parliament to beat up opposition leaning M.Ps who were putting up a spirited fight.  However, in some few instances she has been reluctant to dance to Museveni's tune.  The vindictive Museveni has never forgiven her for having defiantly retained the so-called 'rebel M.Ps' whom Museveni had chased from the party and wanted them to.lose their parliamentary seats.

Since Museveni has always had over three quarters of M.Ps behind him, the Speaker wouldn't be so much of an issue.  However, for Museveni, her biggest crime is her growing popularity both in Parliament and the desperate general public which is willing to sympathize with anyone who stands up to Museveni.  On top of other reasons, Museveni fears that Kadaga may vie for the presidency.  This is the treasonous criminal charge that was preferred to most of Museveni's Bush War comrades.  Sam Magara, Sam Katabarwa, Eriya Kategaya, Mushega, Kanyankole, Ruzindana, Rukikaire, Mushega, Butime, Njuba, Mbabazi, Besigye, Kazoola, Tumukunde, Muntu and many others.  They too did a lot for Museveni's hold on power but in the end he paid them handsomely.  If anything, Kadaga's paycheck has been long overdue.  Museveni is determined to deal with Kadaga once and for all.  He is using blackmail, intimidation and bribery; even if it means emptying the Treasury.

Kadaga is not being serious when she dares Museveni on democracy yet she very well knows that he presides over a fully fledged military dictatorship;

   "Why don't they do that for the President?  Every five years he comes when there is an election and he says what do we do?  It would be undemocratic to say nobody should come because we have already selected a person.  Are these your cows for you to select?"

Autocratic military dictators are not deterred by rhetorics of democracy and legalities but armed opponents.

Sooner than later, the country may witness a by-election for the Kamuli District Woman M.P.
