Toronto police officer struck and killed by vehicle in City Hall parking garage

 

A Toronto police officer has died after he was struck by a vehicle in the underground parking garage at City Hall early this morning. Police Chief James Ramer said Const. Jeffrey Northrup, served for more than 31 years, is survived by his wife, three children and mother. Ramer said it was an "intentional and deliberate act." A female officer was taken to hospital but has been released.
