OSAMA BIN LADEN'S MOTHER:
This is Alia Ghanem, the mother of Osama bin Laden.
At first, when news leaked out that her son was the brain behind the devastating terrorist attacks in America, she said it was a lie that her first born son was too good a Muslim to do that. Later, Mr bin Laden himself would come out to say that he is the one who did it. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia.
For years, she refused to say anything again until when this interview was done. She then said that her son was brainwashed into becoming a terrorist, insisting that he had always been a good son full of love. She said her son was always close to her but was initiated into what she called a 'cult' upon entering the university. She said she was never in support of her son becoming a jihadist.
Mr bin Laden would later be designated a global terrorist by the United States government. The Americans would not rest until they smoked out Mr bin Laden from his hideout in Pakistan with their special forces, killed him and swiftly buried him inside the Arabian Sea after a Muslim funeral ceremony aboard one of America's most lethal warships, the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70).
Osama's mum refuses to blame her son till date, rather choosing to blame others for brainwashing her beloved son and indoctrinating him with extremist jihadi terrorist ideologies.
Bin Laden's youngest son, Hamza, born in 1989, vowed to continue in the footsteps of his late father and he was designated a global terrorist by the United States.
On September 14, 2019, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Hamza bin Laden was killed in a U.S. counter-terrorism operation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.
Mr Hamza bin Laden had vowed to avenge the death of his father before he was cut down in his prime by US Special Forces.
