*SSEMATIMBA'S FORMER MAID DESERVES A GOLDEN MEDAL*

Oftentimes, we watch news awash with stories of men who have had affairs with their maids and we start throwing stones at them.

What we always forget is that media always feed us with information they get hold of. Just what they get. And interestingly, they do not always dig the stories deeper than they would. Thanks to the investigative journalists that try at times to dig a few pieces. 

There is always two sides of a coin. And this fact serves as a litmus paper test for most of the situations we find ourselves into. The baganda have a saying "tosala gwa kawala nga tonnawuliriza gwa kalenzi." That is to say, don't rush to pass a verdict without listening to both sides of the case. How I wish it was the case with our media! 

So she was a maid at a tycoon's home, call him boss. She was asked by her boss to help in bathing! Innocent girl she was, she accepted. Whatelse would have done! Later from helping with bathing/showering her boss's back, she is asked to help with massaging the boss's neck first, I guess. Then whole back and later whole body,,,process by process. My foot!. Again she did not smell a rat or perhaps she did but nothing to do. Ohhh! Naive she was. Step by step, she got pregnant from an affair that started with obeying her boss's weird commands.

What a critical thinker would say!

Hypothesis; Questions left centre right. Like, should we say, this naive girl was good at whatever she did? What propelled this boss to get attracted to her in the first place? What is the background of this girl before she became a maid? Was it an issue of school fees? Did she have a problem with school? How did this boss hire her? Is the connection of hiring still alive? Can this connection be interrogated? 

Underlying assumptions; the girl was good at her work and was obedient to her boss. The link that connected the two for work can be unearthed. Her strength and weakness can be assessed before and after her maid work.

From all the clips circulating on social media, she seeks to compel her former boss who turned a sexual partner, to man up and take his fatherly responsibilities onto their child. And absolutely he should.

However, my quest in this writeup is to illustrate how a genius the girl was/is. If she managed to do all she did well, refused to abort the child, had been taking the care of the child for 10 or so years, YES SHE IS A GENIUS.

I pray to the almighty that He enables us all evaluate our strengths and find ourselves out; enable us cease opportunities and develop our talents into positive solutions to societal problems and earn therefrom.
