{UAH} WHAT HAPPENED TO "PROJECTING USA MILITARY POWER"?

AFGHANISTAN 2021 & VIETNAM 1975 (photos attached).

The same image 5 decades apart. US diplomats evacuating their embassy by helicopter and frantically fleeing the country as a peoples ragtag army approaches the capital. History repeating itself. What happened to "projecting American military power"?
