{UAH} I vue this Ugandan hysteria about banyarwanda with amusement!
Copied elsewhere
A significant number of Buganda's clans are from Bunyoro, a history they acknowledge. Another number are Baziba or Balaalo! If Kintu indeed came from the east it's not inconceivable that there are Basoga and Bagisu among Buganda's clans. Those Basoga are nothing but Baganda who speak a dialect of the same language anyway 😊!
To the north lie Baruuli and beyond them banyala/bagweeri/bakedi etc. There the first language spoken at home is very likely not Luganda though that in church, school and business is Luganda! From there you get the Joel Senyonyi's who many wouldn't even recognise as a non muganda!
Buganda's borders mean anyone beyond Mukons and mubende not to mention Kakiri is a munyoro.
When you go down to Lyantonde and Sembabule not to mention Rwakai, the dialect changes. Bahima, Banyarwanda, Baziba etc are all mixed up in there but identify as Baganda. More importantly 200 years ago they were Banyoro. Down in kooki, the Babiito still rule as vassals of course. You wouldn't differentiate a mukooki from a muganda if they didn't distinguish themselves.
In the small district of kayunga which once started a conflagration that almost burnt down the country, there are so many a ethnicities it's not funny! Bagisu, banyala, Baruuli, Baganda, Basoga, Lugbara even Dinka!
You even have bayindi, banyarwanda in Namutamba and Nubians in Bombo, the latest two with their own territories within Buganda granted them by the kabaka himself.
While many other Ugandans somehow like to view themselves as pure, the facts day otherwise. Bafumbira and bakiga are found in Rwanda, Baganda in Tanzania, batoro, bakonjo, Banyoro, alur, Madi etc in Congo, Lugbara, Madi, and Acholi South Sudan, karimojong, Bagisu, Bateso, basamia, all the luhya speaking tribes in Kenya etc!
Anywho those who claim to be more Ugandan than Ugandan banyarwanda ... Are amusing!
Musome nyo!
