{UAH} MUSEVENI CONTINUES NOT TO BE THE PROBLEM OF AFRICA LET ALONE UGANDA
Friends
In not bothering your Friday nice evening that much, I just stand to question how Museveni sabotaged this airline. How did he do it? This is not a Uganda air line but an African flight. How did it reach this kind of a stupid deal? Western flights harvest fares all over our continent yet a company that has managed to fly to United States is being refused to pick up passengers. Now I am not in this forum to discuss the IATA politics, I am just here to question why all Africans are not raising up to scream at this kind of decision. If we live in Western countries that count what we like, why are we not on streets screaming to change this policy, so that this air line can pick up passengers as British Air Lines harvests our entire continent?
Because this issue does not affect Africans, this is not a problem that bothers them, and you can crap on African all you want and no one will raise a voice. Uganda papers are not raising the voice for they are busy preaching about Dr Kiiza Besigye, and his importance in Uganda politics, Bobie Winnie and his visit to Masaka how it affects the entire Uganda society. African forums are busy discussing on how to moderate EM and if possible just unsubscribe him for he is the danger to Uganda. An airline has been allowed to fly to the US, but it has been denied a right to pick a single American passenger. And that does not bother Abbey Semuwemba, but why Moslems in Uganda do not have their own MPs and a president.
A firkin Rwandan stood right in this forum and called me an Imbwa, and no one raised a voice. Do you know what the Barigye’s mean by an Imbwa? I will translate to you, it is all Hutus that must never be taken to a court of law, and all their heads must always be cut off, their bodies buried and their skulls preserved so that future generations understand the danger of being a Hutu. That is why you saw so many skulls for Kagame to be in power, all those were Imbwas. And a firkin Rwandan called a Ugandan an Imbwa in UAH and the entire management of UAH saw no reason to raise their voice.
Museveni is not the problem of Africa/Uganda, it is the sheer ignorance of the population.

An African airline just started flying regularly between New York and Baltimore using one of Airbus' newest jets, but most Americans can't book a seat on it

African airline Air Senegal launched flights from Dakar to Baltimore on Thursday. The unique route includes a layover in New York before continuing on to Baltimore, but most Americans cannot fly the domestic leg.
As of September 2, Air Senegal will fly twice-weekly between its country's capital of Dakar to Baltimore in the United States.

The route will operate on Thursdays and Sundays and include a short layover at New York's JFK Airport in both directions, according to the airline. Here's the schedule (all times are local):
Passengers who fly Air Senegal between Baltimore and Dakar will have to spend two to two and a half hours in New York in each direction, meaning Air Senegal is tapping into its eighth freedom rights.
According to the International Civil Aviation Organization, the eighth freedom of the air gives a carrier the right to transport passengers between two cities in one territory as long as the entire service originates or terminates in the foreign airline's parent country. The domestic leg is known as a "tag" flight.
In the case of Air Senegal, the hop between New York and Baltimore is legal as long as the airline only carries travelers who either originated or are destined for Dakar. Passengers who just want to fly domestically between the two cities will not be able to book a ticket on the carrier.
"We are pleased to announce and celebrate this new service from Senegal by our newest international airline Air Senegal. This new air service that we celebrate today is an example of the strength of Maryland and the success of our entire national capital region," the airport's executive director Ricky Smith said at the welcome ceremony in Baltimore.
According to Air Senegal, it will run the route using one of Airbus' newest jets, the A330-900neo, configured with 32 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats, and 237 economy seats. The aircraft can carry up to 12 tons of freight according to the airline, which is keen on boosting its cargo business between Senegal and the US.
In a press release, Air Senegal explained the benefits of operating out of Baltimore versus Washington Dulles International Airport. Specifically, the airport is situated close to a majority of the West African population in the greater Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area and also offers easy connectivity to the US capital and other cities in the country via Amtrak or Southwest Airlines, which has a base in Baltimore.
The New York-Dakar route is in direct competition with Delta Air Lines which currently flies between JFK and Dakar thrice-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
