PANGA ASSAILANTS HACKED A JOURNALIST IN KABALE

The Police in Kabale district are actively hunting for unknown panga wielders who cut and injured 39 year old Kabale based radio presenter.

Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokesperson identified the journalist as Atuheire Julius a resident of Nyakahanga cell Bugongi upper Northern division in Kabale Municipality.

Maate told us that Atuheire who works with Rubanda FM was attacked by three-armed panga wielders with hammers at Kinyungusi cell, Bugongi lower as he headed for duty.

The attackers according to Police cut him on the head and took off with his mobile phone techno F1.

Maate confided to our reporter that a case of Criminal activity/Agg Robbery was registered at Kabale central police station under reference number SD ref 20/22/9/2021.
