{UAH} Today it is exactly 49 years since Amin murdered Chief justice Bendicto Kagimu Mugumba Kiwanuka. Last night i stopped at a point when Justice Benna Lutta had gone to the British high commissioner Sir Charles Slatter to help contact Amin and ask him to release the Chief Justice. Slatter told Lutta that he could not intervene in private affairs of Uganda. What caused Ben problems and probably led to his death, was the case of Daniel Stuart a British general manager of kakira sugar works whom the army had arrested. All judges refused to handle his case. Slatter approached Ben Kiwanuka and begged him to help. Kiwanuka handled the case and released Deniel Stuart. It is now the same Slatter saying otherwise. On failure to get local help, Justice Benna Lutta decided to fly back to Nairobi to seek any help he could get. He started with Attorney general Charles Njonjo. They later met president Kenyatta who in turn contacted presidents Mubutu of Zaire, Nimiery of Sudan and Sadat of Egypt. They
