{UAH} PUBLIC STATEMENT.

Fellow Citizens, Ladies & Gentlemen.

Independence is defined simply as the sovereignty of the people of Uganda over their own country. And Independence Day is the solemn annual reminder for every single Ugandan, be they a leader or ordinary citizen, to cherish, protect and defend at all times that sovereignty from any political, social or economic predation. This so as to guarantee freedoms, dignity, individual rights, prosperity and self determination for every Ugandan today, tomorrow and beyond the horizon of time.
